Finally! Obadiah blogs!

Yeah, it's been a while. Nikki is way better at blogging than I am... so, sorry for the long absence. I promise to do a better job in the future.

On the air this morning I was talking about getting a new PS3 controller with rumble.... and I did! I'm having a Dual Shock 3 imported from Japan thanks to the crazy kids over at Play-Asia. Yes, I went with the dorky white. Nikki preferred the silver but something about it didn't look quite right to me. Okay, so the white looks pretty dorky, too... BUT, I wanted to at least have something that would differentiate it from the ones that will be available in the US. (Though the different colors may end up coming here as well.)

I'll let you know how it turns out... in a minimum of 10 days.

Have you downloaded the 6th Anniversary Podcast yet? What are you waiting on !?!?!?!? Download it now!

The Snowman...

Ace gave us a Snowman for Christmas so that we could decorate the studio. (Note mustard stain he received from action in the second photo.)

Some time after the RIOT yesterday, someone sentenced the Snowman to death:

I wept when I saw the above site. (Okay, it was mostly from laughter, but STILL. There were tears.) Someone thought it was okay to dispose of the Snowman. They cared so little for the gift that was given that they just threw it away. Sad. Really sad. (And... wow... there's lots of soda in that trash can. How embarassing...)

OMG!!!!!! UPDATE!!!! Laine is the one who threw away the Snowman! BETRAYED! BETRAYED!!!! Laine said: "He was in my way." Yikes. Don't get in Laine's way. You'll be hauled off with yesterday's trash!

If Laine ruled the world:

Intellectual Depth.

The Two Big Ones...

I missed the end of the Super Bowl. Yeah. I was so bored during the first half that I decided I could do better with something on Blu Ray. If, like me, you ditched the end then you missed the two greatest plays of the game. Here they are:

So... that's what we missed. Pretty exciting stuff!

Super Bowl ads...

Did you miss them?

Click the picture above to find the ads you missed last night. (which is from the Classic Mac Super Bowl ad that started it all)

My all time favorite Super Bowl commercial is undoubtedly Terry Tate: Office Linebacker.

That is the broadcast version. The internet only versions contain what Mr. Spock would refer to as "more colorful metaphors".

Mars Hill and Heart Support

If you have been paying attention on the RIOT, you should have learned two things this week (or in previous weeks):

1. Obadiah listens to a LOT of podcasts.
2. Heart Support is an amazing website which you should check out.

These two things collided in a major way on my in to the RIOT this morning as I was listening to the Mars Hill podcast on "Grace and Peace" and the founder of Heart Support talked about why Heart Support got founded. You can find that podcast and many of their others through this page or you can always snag it through iTunes or Zune Marketplace. I highly suggest checking out the Mars Hill podcasts.... and if you ever wonder what Nikki and I do to prepare for the RIOT each morning, one of those things is listening to a podcast like that.
